Many Filipinos still believe that struggling mentally means you’re being dramatic or weak. Because of this, a lot of people suffer in silence—too afraid or ashamed to ask for help.More Filipinos are struggling than ever.
According to the World Health Organization, mental health concerns—especially anxiety and depression—have been increasing, especially since the pandemic. These issues are common among students, workers, and OFWs.We have a “just deal with it” mindset.
In our culture, we’re often taught to keep things in, to avoid bothering others. But silence isn’t always strength. You don’t have to carry the burden alone.
